BLANDFORD NATURE CENTER
Large events, much like sporting events, offer so many opportunities to create meaningful images. Whether using a long telephoto lens to capture one particular moment from a distance or getting right into the action with a wide angle lens, I greatly enjoy seeing the excitement and joy on the faces of guests.
The collection of images below is from my time photographing the annual Sugarbush Festival at Blandford Nature Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Seeing a father share amazement with his daughter as she sits on a large draft horse for the first time or seeing the wonder in the eyes of a child getting their face painted—these are the moments that remind me why I truly love photography.
